About Jessica L. Lee, LMFT
I believe in merging humanity with psychotherapy in a less clinical style. Do you need a therapist who will listen, empathize, and not treat you like a diagnosis? Then I'm your therapist—human and accepting of your individual experiences. I see you and want to know how you see yourself and the world. I want to help guide you through processing the difficult stuff.

A Less Clinical Approach—Grounded in Real Therapy
While sessions are designed to feel relaxed and human-centered, they are still grounded in evidence-based practices.
Depending on your needs, therapy may integrate:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS / parts work)
-
Family Systems Therapy
-
Trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches
-
Somatic awareness and emotional regulation
These approaches are woven into sessions naturally—so therapy feels meaningful and personal, not rigid or formulaic.
Traditional Office-Based Therapy
In-office sessions provide a comfortable, relaxed space for deeper conversation, reflection, and processing. This setting allows for more traditional therapeutic work while still maintaining our less clinical, more human-centered approach.
We draw from a variety of approaches, including:
-
Talk therapy for processing thoughts, emotions, and life experiences
-
Trauma-informed and attachment-based work
-
Family systems therapy
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
-
Somatic awareness and emotional regulation
-
Internal Family Systems/Parts Work (IFS)
Sessions are guided by your goals, your pace, and what feels most meaningful to you.

Our Approach With Horses
Our horses are raised and work in a relationship-centered, at-liberty environment, meaning they are free to respond authentically rather than perform tasks.
They may approach, move away, show curiosity, or set boundaries—offering real-time feedback about presence, emotion, and communication.

How Does This Become Therapy?
Through interaction with the herd, clients practice:
-
Emotional awareness and regulation
-
Boundaries and communication
-
Nervous system regulation
-
Mindfulness and grounding
This creates a powerful experiential environment where insight is felt, not just talked about. The therapist walks alongside you, helping translate these experiences into meaningful change.

Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT)
In addition to our horses, therapy dogs and goats may be part of the process:
-
Therapy dogs support anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
-
Goats offer playful, engaging interactions that reduce stress and encourage expression
All animal-assisted work is guided by a licensed therapist and integrated thoughtfully into sessions.
